The Visualization and Virtual Reality group is part of the top 10 RAE rated School of Computing and is led by Dr. David Duke, Dr. Roy Ruddle and Dr. Hamish Carr. We are involved in a variety of activities in the areas of Visualization, Virtual Navigation and Computational Topology. The group has a history of interdisciplinary research with other University departments such as the Institute for Transport Studies and the Centre for Integrated Petroleum Engineering and Geoscience. Collaborations have also been developed with other academic institutions such as The University of Manchester and Oxford Brookes University as well as industrial partners in domains such as Radiology (St James Hospital) and Numerical Analysis and Visualisation (NAG).
