This work originated from the EPSRC funded COVISA project undertaken in the School of Computer Studies at the University of Leeds. Since the end of that project considerable effort has been put in to create a more useable and robust product. The first release of this product was for the Silicon Graphics IRIX operating system and was available on this site since May 1998. A second release is almost available for Silicon Graphics which is compatible with the Windows NT version being delivered with the new release of IRIS Explorer (ver 4.0). This implementation (version 1.5) supersedes and is not compatible with any earlier version of the toolkit or servers. It delivers full cross platform collaboration for visualization. Although the toolkits for both platforms are compatible, they obviously look diifferent due to the differing windows environents being used. For that reason the documentation held at this site is split (where appropriate) into Silicon Graphics and Windows NT specific parts.
